"The Body" For President

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura has said that he will not be running for President in 2008. As for a run in the next election for Senate or President he said; "I've learned after 56 years you never say never. I have no intention at this point in time, but who knows, that could change." I say why not have "The Governing Body" back in politics. Whether or not you endorsed policies of the distinguished actors and sports figures turned politician, it's fair to say their performance was not worse than career politicians while in office. Jesse Ventura is an electable third part candidate. I made a rough outline of my case for the necessity of a viable American third political party in "We Need More Choices". Ventura himself said he was "the most powerful man in America" because Republicans and Democrats had to work together to stop him as Governor. It is time to shake up the political status quo in the United States. Wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan once said he considered a run for President. What are we gonna do brother, when Presidential-Mania runs wild on us? I say we will be just fine, if not better off than we were before, as long as he does not rip his suit off. "Regular People" will be less likely to be controlled by political party and special interest groups. There may be a limit to whom should run for office. I took a tongue-in-cheek look at Dr. Jack Kevorkain's run for Congress in "A Vote For Dr. Death Is". Well you can decide that for yourselves. I think the Great President Ronald Reagan said it best; "How can a president not be an actor?". Judging by that standard, Bill Clinton should have won an Oscar.
