The Finish Line?

It was a very exciting and historic day yesterday, with Senator Barack Obama clinching of the Democratic nomination. In the last two democratic Primaries, Obama easily defeated Clinton 57%-41% in Montana. Obama did not fair so well in South Dakota, a State he was heavily favored in, as Clinton cleaned his clock by a 55%-45% margin. So this means that the Democratic Primary is over, and Obama is the Nominee right? At least it looks that way. Wait a minute I am confused. If Obama won, why didn't Senator Clinton officially concede in her speech last night? Isn't that the way it works? I mean she praised Senator Obama for his well run campaign, but she never officially recognized him as the Nominee. So what is Hillary Clinton's next move. I sat back and thought of four possibilities. 1) She is fighting on. How I do not know, but where there is a Clinton there "is" a way. 2) She is finished but does not even have the common courtesy to give Obama his props. This sounds like Hillary. 3) She is trying to play tough and get the VP spot. I think her actions however, may preclude Obama from choosing her even if it's the smartest choice. 4) She is waiting around and hoping something bad happens to Obama. Hey I am not crazy, remember her RFK assassination speech. Whatever the case, the fact that Clinton did not concede defeat means that there is still some flavor left in the Democratic Primary. Just when we thought that it was over.
