America For Sale

Whether we Americans choose to accept or not, our Country is in serious peril. We are all painfully aware of rising fuel and food prices. We all should be aware of the many Global threats to our nation from hostile governments and ideologies. I fear that the biggest threat our nation faces today is homegrown. That threat is our own broken political system. In the recent "You're Out Of Touch", I talked about our wealthy elected officials being far removed from the issues and concerns of everyday ordinary people. Besides being out of touch, Government Officials are often corrupt if not legally, than morally. Many of those who are not corrupt are indifferent and only concerned with retaining their political office. The truth in Washington has become a rare commodity. If sold by the ounce, the truth would be worth more than gold. Where have all of the true public servants gone? This story like any good one, needs a villain and Hillary my dear, I have type cast you. Hillary Clinton is the quintessential say anything, do very little, blame somebody else politician. Last month Senator Clinton blamed President Bush for a manufacturing plant closing in Indiana. The plant owned by Magnequench, made the sophisticated magnets needed to guided "smart bombs." Clinton claimed that by allowing the sale of Magnequench, President Bush caused American jobs to go overseas and forced our military to buy the magnets from the Chinese. Well she's right, but Clinton left out one important detail. While Clinton is correct that Bush did not block the sale, she failed to mention that it was her Hubby President Bill Clinton that approved the sale back in 1995. Hillary is certainly the Queen of BS, but pointing fingers does not help the American people. The saddest part of the story is that we lost more good jobs and now rely on the Chinese for critical defense components.
