Despite what the majority of the analysts and pundits think, my belief that there will be an Obama-Clinton Democratic ticket this fall remains in tact. In fact, I feel that there are some signs which indicate it may be even more likely now than it was before. Tuesday Obama defeated Clinton by a landslide in North Carolina's Democratic Primary. Clinton managed a narrow victory in Indiana's Primary, however the fact that she was expected to win by a larger margin left many to feel that her campaign was, for all intent and purposes, finished. In speeches after Tuesday's Primaries, both Candidates spoke well of each other and made overtures to the crowd about Democratic unity and working together in the fall. While this may be the norm for Obama, one must ask why Clinton's claws were not out and tearing into Senator Obama. Only one answer seems to make any sense, an Obama-Clinton ticket this fall. That would most certainly spell disaster for Republican Nominee Senator John McCain. It makes perfect sense for the Democrats. With a fair share of Cinton and Obama supporters saying in polls they would not vote for the opponent, the Dems have to be concerned about McCain picking up those disgruntled voters. As stated in "The New Keystone Cops", the truth is that the Democrats do not always do what makes sense.
