Does This Mean Anything?

Democratic Senator and Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton crushed Senator Obama in yesterday's Democratic Primary in West Virginia. Clinton defeated Obama by a landslide 67%-26% margin. To be fair, Obama did not campaign hard in the State, making only one recent appearance. Most pundits saw Obama's move as establishing a political alibi in a State where he was expected to lose by a wide margin. So what if anything are we to discern from Clinton's West Virginia victory? Even with Obama's Campaign giving little effort to win West Virginia, a defeat by 41% seems highly significant. Many of the analysts and pundits say that Clinton remains in the race hoping that Obama makes a tragic mistake. Clinton says that she wants to see it through to the end to allow all of the voters to have their say. I just do not believe that Hillary Clinton is still in this race in less she thinks that she has a good chance of achieving victory. If we have learned anything from Hillary, it's that she always has a trick up her pants-suited sleeve. I think maybe West Virginia was significant for Clinton's argument that she is the more "electable" Democratic Candidate. In my opinion, Clinton will have to have similar showings in the remaining primaries to have a real shot at the nomination.
