End Game?

This evening former Senator and Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards, announced that he was endorsing Senator Barack Obama for President. Edwards made the announcement when appearing at a campaign rally with Senator Obama. Two questions come to my mind. First, was this the death blow to the Clinton Campaign? Secondly, has John Edwards just positioned himself for another run as Vice President on the Democratic ticket, in a backroom deal with Senator Obama? One thing is for certain, the Democrats want Hillary Clinton out of the race. During the first 10 minutes of his speech, Edwards proceeded to kiss Hillary Clinton's ass. I wish there was another way to put it, but it looks like the Obama camp has hung up their boxing gloves in the hopes Clinton will respond by ending her bid for President. That just shows they do not know her very well. Perhaps I am just thinking to hard on this issue. When John Edwards appeared on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, he said that he would throw his support behind the Candidate who bought him a jet ski. Maybe he was not joking and Obama's campaign, flush with cash, came through.
